Dr Bala Tanjore

Currently, Dr. Bala is Chief Product & Technology Officer @ Impacteers , World’s first AI Powered B2T Platform.

As a research scientist, Dr. Bala is focused on developing state-of-the-art products in the space of Artificial Intelligence , Artificial General Intelligence and Artificial Super Intelligence using flavours like Computer Vision Techniques, Deep Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing/Natural Language Understanding , and Robotics. He has been at Brane since April 2023 and is based out of Hyderabad, India currently.

Previously, Dr. Bala led the AI Labs (R&D divisions) at Brane Enterprises and AntWorks R&D, both based in Singapore.

In addition, he worked with Steve Jobs on crafting groundbreaking

inventions such as Apple Pay for iOS and Automator for Mac OS

In the early part of his career, he ventured into entrepreneurship and

bootstrapped a gaming company in the US  and successfully exited in 2009.

He is a dual PhD Holder and holds PhD in the areas of Deep learning and

Applied Mathematics and has 7 patents to his name.

Dr.Bala works @ Brane Enterprises include, building state-of-the-art fully Indigenous & autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles / Unmanned Under Water Vehicles / Unmanned Ground Vehicles for Government Research & Development Organisations for safety and public administration, Manufacturing, Agricultural and Aqua Sectors . He was  also instrumental in working with distinguished doctor fraternity & Versatile AI experts in creating Digital twins for medical devices to enhance surgical procedures, improve patient outcomes and transform the healthcare industry . Developed Brane Vision Pro, a smart glass (a complete edge device) for visually impaired people that is being piloted & validated across 7 geographies.

Previous to this, Bala spent 4 years building the state-of-the-art full-stack, Integrated automation platform "ANTstein SQUARE

& CMR+ " which Topped the Gartner and IDP Matrix for 3 consecutive years in the Intelligent Automation Space and boosted the revenue of AntWorks to 3X in span of 14 months (Please refer to https://youtu.be/ZglnotUibR0) .Migrated the platform architecture from monolithic to microservices architecture and generated a 10x performance improvement in digitization and automation process . Got involved in IP creation, Patent filing for 3 disruptive modules in the space of digitization which are Fractal AI based Digitization Engine, Handwritten data extraction, Signature detection, comparison and verification @an accuracy of 95% Created a proprietary NLP engine to support the platform capability to digitize unstructured business documents pertaining to 31 Latin and Non-Latin scripts.

In his early career, Bala operated as R&D Head for Savant Automation Systems , Europe where he was responsible for the design, development, deployment,  and operation of software solutions for Savant Home Automation Products using its proprietary IoT platform .  He Spearheaded the architecture department  by developing &  maintaining the entire IoT architecture starting at the individual device through connectivity, data collection, and analytics, cloud, middleware, APIs, mobile apps, security, and operations. He was responsible for creating a “State - of - the - Art  product named Race point Blue print” which transformed the technical landscape of Savant in European Markets.

Dr. Bala has the credit of working With Steve Jobs of Apple in shaping up “Apple Pay “ . He was hired as a chief scientist in

NFC Domain @ Apple and spearheaded the Apple pay product which got released in iOS 6.0.

Notable accolades and professional achievements from throughout his career to date include being Head of South India “Nasscom Mobile & IOT Product Council”. He also Mentored many startups in the field of AI and IOT as a part of Nasscom's"10,000 startups" initiative.
